Setting Off on Our Journey
On May 26, 2014, my wife Suneera and I set out for an unforgettable trip to Kanjirappuzha Dam in Palakkad. The morning was crisp, with the perfect weather for a day of exploration. As we packed our bags, we couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature.
The Road to Palakkad
The drive to Palakkad was filled with excitement and scenic views. Lush green fields stretched on either side of the road, the towering Western Ghats in the distance adding to the charm. We took a few stops along the way to take in the surroundings, capturing some of the most beautiful moments.
Arrival at Kanjirappuzha Dam
When we arrived at Kanjirappuzha Dam, the view took our breath away. The sprawling reservoir with serene waters, surrounded by hills and greenery, was a sight to behold. We walked along the dam, soaking in the tranquility of the place, and watched the reflections of the sky dance on the water.
Exploring the Surroundings
The area around the dam was equally captivating. The dense forested patches and the sprawling gardens added a touch of wild beauty. We explored the gardens, taking pictures amidst the flowers, and found a perfect spot for a picnic. The calmness around the reservoir was therapeutic.
A Quiet Moment by the Water
As the sun began to dip, we sat by the water’s edge, watching the changing colors of the sky. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like we were in a different world, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It was a perfect end to a beautiful day at Kanjirappuzha Dam.
