Setting Off for Malampuzha
On Sunday, 15 August 2018, my friends Anilkumar, Pradeesh, and I decided to visit the famous Malampuzha Dam in Palakkad. The weather was rainy, adding a refreshing chill to the air, which only increased our excitement. We were eager to see the dam at full capacity, knowing the rains would have filled it up, and we hoped to witness the beauty of the water flowing down from the dam.
A Rain-Soaked Arrival at Malampuzha Dam
As we arrived, the sight of the dam overflowing with water was nothing short of spectacular. The rains had done their work, and the dam was at its peak, creating a magnificent view as the water cascaded down. The sound of rushing water and the cool breeze added to the magic of the moment. Despite the rain, the place was filled with tourists, all mesmerized by the beauty of the dam and its surroundings.
Enjoying the Full Glory of the Water Flow
Standing near the dam, we were treated to a breathtaking view of the water gushing down, with mist rising from the impact below. The sheer force and volume of the water created an awe-inspiring sight. We spent some time simply taking in the beauty of nature’s power, capturing photos and videos to remember the moment. The rain only added to the atmosphere, making everything look even more vibrant.
The Rainy Adventure
The rain continued throughout the day, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. In fact, it made the whole experience even more unique. We walked around the area, exploring the park near the dam and admiring the beautiful greenery that had flourished thanks to the monsoon. The rainy weather, combined with the scenic beauty of the dam and its surroundings, made it a day to remember.

As the day came to a close, we took one last look at the overflowing dam, its powerful water flow etched into our memories. We left feeling grateful for the experience and happy to have shared it together. The rainy adventure to Malampuzha Dam had been an unforgettable experience, one that we would always cherish.
